Tis the season for sugar-filled goodies and presents galore! Of course, we all want to enjoy this time of year...treats included! However, there are a few simple steps you can take to make sure that all the fun does not get in the way of your oral hygiene!
1) Don't ditch the routine.
No matter if you are out of town for the holidays or in a rush, be sure to take the time to keep up with your daily routine of brushing and flossing! A few minutes a day can really help out in the long run. Make your oral hygiene a priority.
2) Be aware of your sugar intake.
We wouldn't ask you to turn down your grandmother's famous apple cobbler or an occasional candy cane, but take note of how much sugar you are eating. It can add up quickly! Be sure to floss and brush after your sweet treats.
3) Moderation is key.
Thanksgiving, Christmas, Halloween. So many holidays bring a lot of food to the table. No matter what season we are in, moderation is key! Being mindful of what you eat and drink will have a positive effect on your teeth and gums, along with routine brushing and flossing.
Osinde Family Dentistry hopes that you start this season with a sparkle!
Don't forget to make your end-of-year appointment!
